They were a playable in the old one. I think both the Tattoinne and Mos Eisly maps let you use jawas.

Me too, its kind of strange there not being any sort of background info for whats going on but its crazy how many of DUSTs sales-points it hits. Like the PS2 devs went through our forums and picked a bunch of things to make happen. Still real sparse on some things (its still a beta, ik) but already real good on others.

You can strafe but no wiggling really.
TTK is relative to who you're fighting and the distance, mechanically its sound and I haven't killed or been killed yet where I was left wondering "why" except when I was flanked and oblivious to it.
The "empty" aspect isnt so much that the server is empty so much as just that the battles are elsewhere.
The game is played across various territories across entire continents and you can travel by foot or vehicle across the entire continent. So what happens is there are spawnable zones that will be deserted since theyre insulated from the contested areas. You can't flip a zone unless your group has an adjacent one BUT you can attack troops moving from there to other areas. OR spawn in one, get a vehicle and travel to a battle area. So front lines matter but aren't the end all of map strategies. And you can't get assets from an area until you own it all so aside from what gets packed in you'll probably wind up bringing reinforcement assets from a secured area a couple "miles" out from the battleground.

The old Battlefront had stages that were CloneWars.
New BattleFront will be one hotfix/patch away from having whatever the old one had.
